Start of a New Season!

February 6, 2012

It’s been a while since my last blog but I’m excited to do this one because it means I have something to talk about and the racing season is underway! I haven’t raced a car since the Team USA Scholarship last October at the British Formula Ford Festival but I’ve been pretty busy putting my deal together and finding the budget for 2012. I have signed with Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing for the Cooper Tires USF2000 National Championship Powered by Mazda. I’m really looking forward to the season with the Capes, they’ve been very successful in the F2000 ranks over the years and have a lot of experience for me to learn from.

We’ve been doing some testing in preparation for the USF2000 WinterFest that kicks off at Sebring on February 6th. The WinterFest is a six-race series in Florida with three races at Sebring and three at Palm Beach International Raceway. Although we’ve been testing there’s nothing like being in an actual race so I’m looking forward to getting back in race mode next week.

It’s a pretty short blog this time but I’m sure I’ll have a lot to talk about in a week’s time after the WinterFest championship is completed.

Special Thanks to all of my partners: Team Pelfrey, E-merging Technologies Group, Parathyroid.com, California Scents, Mazda, RaceLite Protection and my team Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing

Thanks for reading,

Spencer
