Winning his first championship at the tender age of ten, rising star Spencer Pigot is well on his way to a dream career in motorsports. Getting his start in the karting ranks, Spencer quickly became a presence in the national karting scene. With four state, one regional and two national championships racked up in his junior days, along with numerous pole positions, podium finishes and race wins, Spencer's talent and race craft was obvious from the beginning.

Making the progression from karts to cars came naturally to Spencer as he was successful in open wheel racing immediately. Entering select events of the Skip Barber Regional series, the Windermere, Florida resident earned a victory in only his second-ever Skip Barber race at the famed Sebring International Raceway. From there Spencer won four of six races contested in the Skip Barber Summer Series, finished third in his Skip Barber National debut and finished first in class at the SCCA 13 Hour Endurance Race at Virginia International Raceway. Not to be outdone, Spencer went on to win the Skip Barber Karting Shootout scholarship in 2009 and a fully funded ride in the Skip Barber National series as an Official MazdaSpeed Development Driver. With three wins, five poles and a total of 11 podium finishes, the American talent captured the 2010 BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National presented by Mazda championship. To add to his already impressive resume, Spencer was awarded the prestigious Team USA Scholarship and the opportunity to take part in the ultra-competitive Formula Ford Festival and Walter Hayes Trophy in England.

As the emerging name among the junior open wheel ranks, Spencer is continuing his climb up the motorsports ladder as in December he was announced as the second entry for Andretti Autosport in their 2011 USF2000 National Championship campaign. Piloting the #8 car, Spencer went on to win three races, get four pole positions, eight podium finishes and one track record. He finished second overall in the USF2000 Championship. In addition he won the Team USA Scholarship for a second time and was given the chance to race in the Duratec class of the British Formula Ford Festival.

In 2012 Spencer returned to the USF2000 National Championship with Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing. They shared immediate success by winning the USF2000 WinterFest Championship. Spencer scored victories in five out of six races en-route to the title. Driving the #2 car in the USF2000 National Championship Spencer ended the year with 8 wins, 5 pole positions, 11 podium finishes and two track records out of 14 races. Ultimately he finished second in the championship despite winning twice as many races as the eventual champion.

For the 2013 racing season Spencer moved up the Mazda Road to Indy into the Pro Mazda Championship with Team Pelfrey. He claimed one win, five podium positions and finished 4th in the final points standings.

Spencer rejoined forces with his old karting team, Juncos Racing, who had also moved up the racing ladder into the Pro Mazda Series for the 2014 championship. Success came immediately as he won the Cooper Tires Pro Mazda WinterFest Championship with two wins and four pole positions out of the four-race championship. They dominated the early part of the championship by winning the first four races in a row at the St. Petersburg Grand Prix and Barber Motorsports Park. Spencer went on to win two more races throughout the year and was crowned the 2014 Pro Mazda Champion. In addition to his Pro Mazda season he also competed in the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Canada by Michelin with Alegra Motorsports. He won two races and finished 3rd in the championship.

In 2015 Spencer and Juncos Racing moved up to the Indy Lights Championship. As rookies they won six races en route to winning the 2015 Indy Lights Championship. Spencer won a fourth scholarship from Mazda valued at One Million Dollars to compete in at least three races in the Verizon Indy Car Series in 2016 including the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.
